Kampfgruppe Frank is back in action trying to drive the western allies back into the sea as part of the Anzio defense. Kampfgruppe Frank has occupied the town of Carroceto and the nearby Fasict regional HQ blocking one of the main roads out of Anzio. However, the British Grenadier Gaurds have been ordered secure the area.
Design notes;
Based off mission 2 in the IABSM Anzio campaign book. Historically,y the German defenders were 3rd battalion 29th panzer grenadiers but for this mission they have been replaced with Kampfgruppe Frank consisting of a partial Gebirgsjaeger kompanie fresh from the painting table.
Terrain
The brown line is a railway embankment nine foot high so block line of sight. It is impassable to tanks except at the bridge and is difficult ground for infantry to cross.The river is very difficult to cross for tanks and difficult for infantry. The rest of the terrain is open.
