Tactica Hamburg (it is like Salute but in German)

voranbringen

This year I am hoping to attend more wargames conventions. The main events I would like to get to are Tactica (German), Salute (UK), Adepticon (US) and Crisis (Beglium).  I have been Salute before and have fond memories, partly form nuking a friend during a bout of paranoia while playing the War of Terror but also diversity of game systems to try and the visual impact of the set-ups.

sitrep(FOW):Just when I thought I was out...

... they pull me back in.

I have been trying to cut back on the tournaments lately, nothing wrong with them, they are a great way to meet new players and get a fresh perspective on the game but time is commodity I lack at the moment.  Flames of War was intend to be my not tournament game. So why did I hop on Train to Leipzig for the weekend to take part in Saxony’s first FOW tournament?

sitrep (FOW): Waldfeucht 21st January 1945

Finally got round to trying the battle for Waldfeucht. Before the new Market Garden release from battlefront the mission seemed a bit tough for the attacking Germans. Now the British get some improved equipment should the mission be re named well f*cked?

PiP (FOW): Decal-icous

A flushed sherman

Some pictures of the current paint in progress, two platoons for Task Force Butler. First is an experimental sherman tank platoon from the plastic soldier company. It is experimental because it is being used tor airbrush practice and to try out different manufactures decals. The Airbrush effect is distinct from the brushed tanks but if it is better or worse I am not sure. The decals come from several different manufacturers I-94, Battlefront, Mustang games system, Dom's decals and Sky Trek. The Sherman platoon is part of a planned American tank company. American tanks seem to use way more decals then the German tanks I am use to.
