All is lost save honour ( a scenario for The Men Who Would Be Kings)

Captaine Droit columns deploys first

Introduction:
The battle is over and you have lost the last you saw of the general, his head was on a spear being parade by victorious natives. The priority now is to escape  but to complicate things you can not just run away that would lead to charges of cowardice and cause you to be shunned on your return. You need to stay long enough to  something heroic then withdraw post haste.

Design notes;
This is a little different in that it is a cooperative wargames with players playing against the scenario to survive. In this case Mr Babbage from the Men who would be Kings iis in control of the hostiles. originally the scenario was designed for three players but on the day only two were available

Captaine Gauche column deploys second
Set-up:
The Battlefield is desert with 13 pieces of terrain scattered evenly around the table. The terrain can be buildings, bushes, hills, etc
Captaine Gauche column encounters heavy resistance
Forces:
The French start with a pool of units (2 legion, 2 regulars,2 militia, 1 cannon, 1 MG, 1 cavalry, 1 mounted infantry. Players roll a dice the highest player picks one unit. Then second highest picks one and so on. After each player selected a unit the second highest player, a second unit, then the third highest and so on. After each player has selected his second unit the third choice player gets to pick first for a third unit. This Is repeated until all three players have a unit. The remaining units are not used and each player must have at least one infantry unit in his force.

The Arabs force is created using mr babbage.

Captaine Droit column has a quieter time and is busy looking for survivors
