Wilderness War early 1775

Canada early 1775

To scratch the wargames itch I setup a play by email campaign with some guys from the Netherlands and Germany The Game is based of GMT Wilderness War with me acting as umpire. Each round each sides is given options. They draft their plans for the round.  Then the options are resolved by me alternating between forces ie French first order is resolved then the British second order and so on.

I really like this style of game where the player has more options than resources and needs to think carefully about their plan. The fact the orders are done blind may help or hinder players. But since both sides are impact I think it acceptable.

Below is the starting set-up in starting forces and options for both sides.
