Maroons for Sharp Practice

maniacal maroons
We had our first snow fall recently naturally the means painting up something inspired by warmer temperatures enter some work in progress in the form of Maroons for Sharp Practice in the Caribbean.  Painting wise I tried two new methods first was a two tone under coat base in black and spray white from the top of the model.  the tip comes from ex GW staffers so far the results do not seem to justify the extra step. Second novelty was to see how far I can go with a tank brush in painting minis. I seems I can get about 80-90% of the model painted before switching to a regular miniature brush but the clean up takes a little longer than normal but it is liberating to use a really big brush for painting tiny miniatures.
