PiP (40K): Mordian Iron Gaurd


A section, 1st platoon, A company, 391st Mordian Guards (aka the middle guard)
Sadly 40K ranks in 4th place in terms of games played this year.  I still like the concept but Games Workshop have failed to deliver something worth investing in.  The Guard lives on (anybody found referring to them as the Ad Mech will be found wanting in the eyes of the commissar).  For me the heart of the Guard lies with the infantry.  Normal men and women who have stepped up to protect humanity. With little more than flash light and a penknife they do battle with daemons and aliens to save the worlds.

The models are Victoria miniatures ( I am still a bit miffed GW did not release a new set of plastic infantry with new codex release). The paint scheme is based of the French imperial guard from the Napoleonic wars

They look good mate, as for 40k it's in a strange place at the moment, while the games getting better the faster dex releases is leaving players feeling that there's not much of a difference between the old one & the new one, hence people are saying their bland.

I hear you Frank. Most of the changes seem to be changes just to cash in on something, earning pennys while losing pounds. GW doesn't seem to have any direction at the moment. I really would like to see them doing something to recover some of their customer interest. But I think I agree the with BoLS guys in that it will be another 1-2 years crap before they are driven create something positive.
